Project Description
Shift + Solve is a numerical method calculator that is used for numerical analysis.

The version 1.0 computes the roots of non-linear functions, root of non-linear polynomial functions, and system of linear equations using different methods of numerical analysis. The following methods were used: Bisection Method, Newton’s Method, Newton-Raphson Method, Muller’s Method, Crout’s / Cholesky’s Method, Gauss-Jacobi Method, Gauss-Seidel Method and Relaxation Method. Shift + Solve is a desktop application and developed in Visual C#.

The version 2.0 computes and evaluates numerical integration and numerical differentiation methods including computing advanced mathematical integration, differentiation, and formulating equations with curve fitting using different methods of numerical analysis. The following methods were used: Newton’s Divided Difference, Trapezoidal Rule, Simpson’s 1/3 Rule, Simpson’s 3/8 Rule, Forward-Finite Divided Difference, Backward-Finite Divided Difference and Centered-Finite Divided Difference. Shift + Solve is a desktop application and developed in Visual C#.

The source code was used by the students for educational purposes.
